Alberta's Libraries go way beyond books

Libraries across the province give you access to more than 30 million resources, including magazines, CDs, DVDs, the Internet and all kinds of workshops.

Our friendly library staff members also help you track down exactly what you're looking for—even if it has to be shipped from another library. They're like your personal library detectives and are always happy to assist you.

You can also:

  • Get a free TAL Card at your local library that gives you borrowing privileges at almost every library across the province
  • Ask a question online, and get an answer from qualified library staff, usually within 24 hours
  • Use TAL Online, a free, web-based search engine that gives you access to over 290 member libraries and over 30 million items

Alberta's libraries have come together to spread the word about the incredible range of resources available in your community and across the province. So check us out.
